![]() ![]() There is NO movement of the stock, and no movement between the upper/lower receivers. This has traditional controls w/ safety toggle on the left, and mag release on the right. Rubberized cap is at the bottom with a small storage compartment. The BCM grip is rubberized, and quite comfortable. I did not measure the actual trigger weight, but it feels lighter than that of the comparative rifles. Take-up is pretty short, and there is minimal over-travel. While the ACT trigger is regarded as only a small step up from common lower parts kits, it is smooth, and definitely crisp. The rifle comes with a small (3-key) and larger (5-key) picatinny rail section, and because of the BCM KMR design which includes diagonals (between the top Picatinny rail and the left and right KMR), I could mount a weapons light on a 45 degree picatinny short section without additional mounting hardware. There is a crush washer as part of the stock pin/weld. The BCM compensator is not quiet, and supposedly is compatible (despite the longer length) with some A2-mount suppressors. Groups at 25yd (I'm still looking for longer outdoor ranges) are <1". Rapid 20 shots did not result in any heating discomfort with my direct hand grip on the KMR rail. It also allowed me to recover and shoot faster between shots (H-buffer with stock buffer spring). As a smaller person, the weight is perfect, and recoil is easier than the DD/S&W with the same American Eagle 223 55gr FMJ ammo. It is very well balanced, with the center of gravity along the back half of the magazine, so handling is quite quick. ![]() ![]() I have put about 100 rounds in this rifle so far, and have been impressed. I have a Primary Arms MD-ADS RDS mounted on a co-witnessed PA mount, making the total weight w/ an empty magazine exactly 6 lbs 0 ounce. BCM is well known to all of you, so I will leave the accuracy and ballistic specifics to many of you with much, much more experience than I.ġ4.5″, 11595E chrome-lined barrel with 1:7 twist (non-fluted), pinned BCM gunfighter compensator Mod 1 My goal was to prioritize light weight to maximize my ability to train, and this review is based on use over the past several weeks. I've been waiting for a bit to buy my first rifle, and so far my experiences have been based on renting Daniel Defense and S&W MP15 rifles at my local gun range. ![]()
